A Note To Building Chairmen
Your time is valuable yet you have elected to give a large part of it to your church. We want to assist you in making the most of this important opportunity. With any building program there are so many questions to answer, like:
Before starting to build:
- What type and size of building is needed?
- Where do we find an experienced architect?
- Where do we find a dependable builder?
- Do we use a “Design and Build” firm instead?
- Is it wise to use church members...”in the business”?
- Should a building committee be formed or just designate “a few members” to handle it?
- Financing, how much to borrow and where to obtain it?
- Should we remain at our present location or relocate?
During the planning or after construction is started:
- Building Exterior.... Color of brick, siding, stucco, etc?
- Building Exterior.... Color of trim?
- Building Exterior.... Parking layout?
- Building Interior.... Paint colors.... sanctuary, classrooms, etc?
